FAQ’s

How long has the EAFL been around?

The EAFL was founded in 2005 with Madden NFL 2005 so we are entering our 7th year of competitive game.

 

Is this a SIM league?

No, we believe in allowing everyone to play their game their way, including SIM players.  All are allowed and we attempt to keep our rules to a minimum.  That said, we do not allow blatant glitching or AI abuse.

 

Do you have prizes?

At this time the EAFL is not offering any monetary prize or trophies.

 

Why should I join if I can’t win any money?

We’ve tried prize money and while we do not knock leagues that offer prizes, we’ve seen a “win at all costs” attitude from players in those leagues. We’ve seen leadership create leagues based on their strengths so they could win.  We think playing for pride and to say you are the best should always come first.

 

I see the name EAFL has EA in it and you have an internet radio show called The Madden Voice.  Are you directly affiliated with EA Sports or the Madden NFL series?

No we are not.  Like ESPN, the EAFL name is not an acronym, just the name of our league.  When we started in 2005 we receive permission to use the name as long as we were not profiting from its use in any way.  We have never profited from using the name EAFL or The Madden Voice, but check out our show archives, we’ve had EA Sports on frequently to discuss the game.  This league is well connected!
